Pictures of Whitney and Nissa at Duluth

Whitney's First Vacation

On March 3rd Whitney took her first vacation. It wasn't a big vacation it was just an overnighter. My parents invited Me, Luke, and the girls to Duluth to stay at the Edgewater overnight. I was a little worried on how Whitney would do, since she cries a lot when she sits in her car seat. But, to my surprise she did wonderful. I couldn't have had a better baby. She slept most the way down, and Nissa was able to entertain her when she was awake. The only time Whitney cried was when we got to Duluth and she was getting a little antsy to get out of her car seat from the 3 hour ride.
We had such a big day. Our first stop was the Duluth Zoo. We had so much fun, Nissa loved seeing all the animals, and I asked her what her most favorite animal at the zoo was and she said the deer were her favorite. I thought she was going to say the Polar Bear, or the monkeys or something, but it was deer, the one thing she could basically see any time she wants. I thought that was kinda funny. Whitney slept the whole time at the zoo, so I can't really say if she enjoyed it or not, I think she was a little tired from the long ride. Then we ate at Red Lobster for lunch before we checked in the hotel, WE definantly had some good food, and Nissa and Whitney at very well. We got to the hotel and Nissa was very excited because we told her there was a water park at the hotel, so she was anxious to go swimming. The waterpark was so much fun, I think I had a better time going down the slides then Nissa did. My little girl is so brave, she was going down all slides by herself, usually Nissa is so timid about those kind of things, but she was swimming and sliding like she owned the water. And Whitney had fun watching Nissa and all the kids sliding down the slides, she was splashing and having fun with Gramma. After the waterpark we went up to our rooms and ordered pizza and then went to bed, it was such a big day everyone was tired. The next morning we got up early and Nissa and Whitney did some last minute swimming at the waterpark before we went home. It was a fun trip I deffinantly will do another trip like that again.
